Brianne appeared through a small path that wove through bushes in the lands of Guardian, her new home. Her burlap sack slung over a shoulder as she kept moving along through the woods, bright eyes up and looking for the edge of the line of trees, and the shoreline just past it. That was where she wanted to begin.
A wand that could do anything, that was what the order had said. Well, no better place to start then with the elements. When one had control of the four basic elements, they really could do almost anything.
Stepping out of the trees and down onto the harden soil of the shore, she quickly moved towards the water. Her sack was set down further back from the waters, and opening it up, she pulled out a small cloth wrapped about something. Carefully, she uncovered the object hidden in the soft cloth. There in the midst of folds, lay a detailed, carving of a wand. It was only a smidge under seven inches long, but the art upon it was magnificent. Originally carved from oak, it was then cast over with metal to give it a bit of shine and to ensure it would not be broken easily. There were two bare places, it would seem on the wand, where stones were yet to be set, but it was not yet the time for those.
Hands moving down to her ankles, she rolled up and cuffed the bottom of her pants up to her thighs. Slipping off her sandals, she picked up the small wand and moved to the water. Stepping in up to her knees, her hands lowered into the water with the wand between them, her eyes closing as she spoke softly:
Goddess Grande Isis (Great Goddess Isis)
Viene prego a me questo giorno; (Please come to me this day;)
Dare alcuno della vostri resistenza e spirito a questo wand, (Giving some of your strength and wit to this wand,)
Ha assegnato l'alimentazione del wielder, (Granted the wielder power,)
Che i loro desideri possono essere assegnati. (That their wishes may be granted.)
The water about her hands glowed softly that her prayer had been heard. That bright smile appeared on her lips as she softly said a thank you and moved back out of the water, wrapping up the wand once more, sliding on her sandals, and moving back into the woods.
She made her way to the small clearing where she had come from just before. A small fire was already burning with a small blanket new by with a few other items wrapping in soft clothes, and a small little plies-like tool. Kneeling down on the blanket near an edge, she unwrapped the wand once more, carefully planting the bottom end in the earth before scooting back and lowering her head to rest upon her hands which were on the ground, her prayer being said once again:
Dio Grande Adonis (Great God Adonis)
Viene prego a me questo giorno; (Please come to me this day;)
Dare alcuna della vostre emozione e bellezza grezze a questo wand, (Giving some of your raw emotion and beauty to this wand,)
Ha assegnato l'alimentazione del wielder, (Granted the wielder power,)
Che i loro desideri possono essere assegnati. (That their wishes may be granted.)
This finished, she slowly looked up to see the dirt had shifted about the wand, spread out in the pattern of a Grace to show it had been blessed.
With the staff pulled from the earth, she rose to her feet, dropping off her sandals and stepped closer to the fire. Not wanting to touch it herself, she simply held the wand out to the flames, as close as she could dare, speaking softly:
Goddess Grande Hestia (Great Goddess Hestia)
Viene prego a me questo giorno; (Please come to me this day;)
Dare alcuna della vostre saggezza e garanzia motherly a questo wand, (Giving some of your motherly wisdom and surety to this wand,)
Ha assegnato l'alimentazione del wielder, (Granted the wielder power,)
Che i loro desideri possono essere assegnati. (That their wishes may be granted.)
The flames flared up and licked at the wand she held in her hands, and out of fear, she nearly dropped it, but the fire did not burn her, nor even leave a mark. Finally stepping back, she looked up to the sky with her sparkling blues, the sunlight steaming down on her.
And then she began to dance. It was something she had leaned from one who had called himself an Indian. He had told her it was the dance for the sky and the air and the wind all around us, for sharing her space and giving all creatures great and small life. And as she danced with the wand held up towards the sky, she softly spoke her prayer:
Goddess Grande Cardea (Great Goddess Cardea)
Viene prego a me questo giorno; (Please come to me this day;)
Dare alcuna della vostre protezione e salute a questo wand, (Giving some of your protection and health to this wand,)
Ha assegnato l'alimentazione del wielder, (Granted the wielder power,)
Che i loro desideri possono essere assegnati. (That their wishes may be granted.)
The wind came down and danced with her; its warmth wrapped about her body for a short time before flying back up to the heavens.
This done, Brianne gave a sigh of relief. That part had all gone as planned and now the difficult part was accomplished.
Moving back to her blanket, she sat down upon it once more, opening the two small sacks and pulling out on larger purple stone for at the very end of the wand, and another smaller green gem for almost a living leaf in the wand.
With the small stone-setting tool she had brought along, she set the purple stone in the clasp, tightening the carved prongs about it to secure it in place. The same was then down with the green stone.
The purple gem was an amethyst, which was intended to help the wand’s wielder clarify their mind for the task at hand and make the thought become reality, without the invasiveness of anything about them. The emerald was added mainly for the bit of color. Bri wasn’t entirely sure what emeralds enhanced in people, but she knew they were good stones, so she placed it in as well.
With this all completely, she wrapped up the wand once more, tied it up with a bit of twine string, attached a tag, and send it off to the Chancellors of the Magic Shop to be delivered.
